FAN9611MX Description générale
The FAN9611MX is an advanced interleaved dual Boundary-Conduction-Mode (BCM) Power-Factor-Correction (PFC) controller designed to operate two parallel-connected boost power trains 180° out of phase. This innovative design extends the maximum practical power level of the control technique from about 300 W to greater than 800 W, making it ideal for high-power applications. The use of BCM offers inherent zero-current switching of the boost diodes, allowing for the use of less expensive diodes without sacrificing efficiency. In addition, the input and output filters can be smaller due to ripple current cancellation and effective doubling of the switching frequency. The converters operate with variable frequency, which is dependent on the load and the instantaneous input/output voltages, with a switching frequency limited between 16.5 kHz and 525 kHz. The PWM implements voltage-mode control with input voltage feedforward for PFC applications, resulting in automatic power factor correction. With built-in protections including bias UVLO, input brownout, over-current, open-feedback, and output over-voltage protections, as well as independent output power limitation and maintained synchronization between power stages, the FAN9611MX is a comprehensive solution for power conversion needs
