The MCP2515-E/ST is a standalone CAN controller with SPI interface, designed for use in automotive and industrial applications. It features an integrated CAN controller and CAN transceiver, allowing for easy interfacing with CAN networks.This device supports both standard (11-bit) and extended (29-bit) data and remote frames. It also includes 2 receive buffers with prioritized message storage, as well as 3 transmit buffers with prioritized transmission scheduling.The MCP2515-E/ST operates on a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and has a standby current of only 5μA, making it suitable for low-power applications. It is also capable of baud rates up to 1 Mbps.Additionally, the MCP2515-E/ST has various error detection and fault handling features, such as cyclic redundancy check (CRC) support and error flags for error detection and reporting. It is available in a compact 20-pin SOIC package for easy integration into designs
