In situations where the output load exceeds the current-limit threshold or a short circuit occurs, the TPS2052BDRBR acts quickly to limit the output current to a safe level by switching into a constant-current mode. The device also features overcurrent (OCx) logic output to signal when such events occur. Additionally, a thermal protection circuit prevents damage by shutting off the switch if the junction temperature rises due to continuous heavy overloads or short circuits. Once the device has cooled down, automatic recovery ensures seamless operation
